Mrs. Elizabeth Bruce Campbell, 81, died at her home, 1322 Elk Street, at 11:20 am today. She was born in Florence, PA, May 4, 1866.
She lived a number of years with her brother, Dr. Jesse C. Bruce, in Peoria, IL, came to Franklin when Dr. Bruce was called as pastor of the First Presbyterian Church here, and lived the rest of her life here. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. During her life she engages extensively in work for her church and in many civic activities. Her charm and gracious personality endeared her to a wide circle of friends.
In June, 1890 in the Presbyterian Manse she J. T. Campbell, who died in 1931.
Surviving are a daughter, Miss Martha Elizabeth Campbell, at home; two nieces, Mrs. G. G. Mevi and Miss Mary Bruce of Huntington, Long Island; and two nephews, Shurley Bruce, Burgettstown, PA, and Duncan Bruce, Charleston, WV.
Services will be at her home at a time to be announced by Buchanan Funeral Home.
