Evelyn grew up in Aroostook County and graduated from Houlton High School. She met and married Donald Callnan, together they raised their eight children on their family farm. Evelyn loved all animals especially cats and birds. She enjoyed flowers, reading the newspaper and doing crossword puzzles.
Evelyn is survived by her seven children Dennis Callnan and his wife Lynn, William Callnan and his wife Sandra, Jane Mitchell and her husband Richard, Timothy Callnan and his wife Susan, Paul Callnan and his wife Cindy, Peter Callnan and his husband John Hennessy, James Callnan and his wife Cheryl; eighteen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren; three brothers-in-law Robert Anderson, Maurice Callnan and his wife Mary, Francis Callnan and his wife Ellen; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Donald, her son Andrew and her brother Reginald Campbell.
