The Organ camp has lost of its pioneer citizens in the death of M.C. Logan who passed away suddenly of heart failure.

He was born in Greenwood, S.C. sixty eight years ago, coming west when he was a young man. He was engaged in the mercantile business at Organ for twenty years.

Reverend Hunter Lewis conducted the services, which were attended by a large number of friends of the deceased. Organ seldom witnessed a more impressive funeral service.

Rev. Lewis dwelt on the affection of the deceased for the children and has many kindly and loving attentions in them during his life in the Organs. He was an Uncle to all the children and days had a gift or message for them. Some years ago he stated that he wished that the children could be at his service and picked the three favorite songs for them to sing; "Lock of Ages", "Lead Kindly Light", and Nearer My God to Thee.

The deceased leaves a devoted sister, who has been with him for four years, the rest of the family being at home in South Carolina. The entire camp extends sympathy to Miss August for her hour of trouble.
