Joyce was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth and a graduate of Texas Wesleyan. She taught high school business for 30 years. She was elder emeritus of First Christian Church and taught Sunday school for decades. She drove for Meals on Wheels, volunteered at NICA, made numerous mission trips and supported charities such as Heifer Project, Habitat for Humanity, and others. She was an avid gardener and took delight in sharing from the abundance of her vegetables and berries.
Joyce lived what she believed in. A follower of Jesus Christ, selfless, inspired, loving, loyal to the end. "Blessed are they who die in the Lord!"--Revelation 14:13
Olive Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Scudder and Margaret Allison.
Survivors: Sons, Forest Lee Calhoun of Weatherford and Douglas Craig Calhoun of Fort Worth.
