Charlie moved on to his home in Heaven, May 26, 2007. He valued his salvation and truly loved the Lord. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Rosemound Cemetery officiated by his good friend and pastor, the Rev. Charlie Brown of McGregor Baptist Church. Friends may visit OakCrest Funeral Home between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Tuesday to pay their respects.

Charlie was born in Odessa, Texas, to William B. and Mary E. Calhoun. Among his many accomplishments, Charlie graduated with honors from Central Texas College with two degrees and owned a HVAC company in Gatesville. He was a unique person with many passions including music, animals, plants, cooking and anything with wheels.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He leaves the love of his life, Ephie, his "Miss E"; mother, Mary Calhoun Campbell and husband, Leroy; brothers, Daniel Calhoun and wife, Mary, of Grape Creek, and Jeff Calhoun and wife, Sheila, of Georgetown; niece, Crystal Bradburn; and nephews, Ben, Andy, and Jeremiah Calhoun and their children.
