Lillian Calder Salisbury was born March 9, 1889, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of David George and Sarah Elizabeth Hague Calder. When she was 16 years old her family moved to Provo Bench (now Orem).
At a July 4 celebration at the church house in 1908 she met Lawrence Jay (Larry) Salisbury. The following year, Dec. 8, 1909, they were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She learned to read braille and crochet rugs, She has always been active in the LDS Church.
She is the mother of five children; Catherine Salisbury Meldrum, Afton Salisbury Stubbs, Jay Salisbury, Francis Salisbury, Keith Salisbury.
She died March 1982.
