LEXINGTON - Services for Winifred M. Caines, 85, of Lexington, SC, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2005, at Ebenezer Pentecostal Holiness Church, officiated by Rev. Lloyd Ackerman, Rev. Chesley Floyd, and Rev. J.D. Simmons. Committal services will follow at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Lakeside Cemetery, Conway, SC. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Memorials may be made to Ebenezer Pentecostal Holiness Church Mission Fund-Food for the Hungry.

Mrs. Caines died Sunday, October 2, 2005. Born in McCormick, SC, she was the daughter of the late Freddie Oscar McNeill and Winnie Dane Dew McNeill. She was the widow of Henry Hudson Moore and Samuel Kirby Caines. A longtime resident of Horry County, Mrs. Caines had been an area resident since 1968. She was a member of Ebenezer Pentecostal Holiness Church where she served as church secretary prior to her retirement.

Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Freddie and Harriet Moore of Lenoir, NC, Jimmy and Teresa Moore of Goose Creek, SC; daughters and son-in-law, Donna Moore of Gaston, SC, Fran and Michael Boone of Columbia, SC; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Marcia and Charles Post; sisters, Dora Sandhu and Beth Stalbaum; brother, Rev. Jim McNeill; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
