Elizabeth was born in Fairfield, Texas, to the late John Ruth Boatner Caine and Laura Lillian James Cain. She was a retired Instructor at the Mexia State School. She had been a resident of Mexia since 1964. Elizabeth loved cooking and caring for her family. Her yard was always well maintained and beautiful due to her love for flowers and hard work. She was an active member of the First Pentecostal Church of God for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Pickett; daughter, Kay Ellen; three sisters; and a brother.
Elizabeth is survived by sons, Jimmy Pickett and wife, Carol, of Mexia, Tommy Pickett and wife, Kathy, of Cotton Gin, Bruce Pickett, of McKinney, and Daryl Pickett and wife, Felicia, of Teague; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles "Buddy" Cain, of California; and many other family members and friends.
