Obituary:
Pearlie Mae Cain Jefferson , a native of Selma and a resident of Mobile, died Saturday. She was 79.
Survivors include seven children, Robert Harris, Charlotte Jefferson , Willie Jefferson , Betty Jefferson , Earnest Jefferson , Warren Thompson and Darshay Thompson; and her longtime companion, Amos Tripp, all of Mobile; one sister, Malinda Pittman of Brown, Ala.; two brothers, Elbert Gardner of Mobile and Tobie Cain of San Francisco; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at Small's Mortuary on South Broad Street. Viewing will also be Saturday from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral at Truelight Missionary Baptist Church in Prichard. Burial will be in Whispering Pines Cemetery.
