Elizabeth "Bettie" Wikins Cain was the daughter of James Herndon Wilkins and Malvina Mills Salmons Wilkins. She married William J. Cain on Sept, 16, 1858 in Bastrop County Texas. William is buried in Bastrop with a double stone that has his wife's name and date of birth, March 27, 1835, on it but no death date. Elizabeth came to California where there were members of her family and died in Los Angeles and has a second stone there for her, where she was buried.
