Mary Cahill Dies After Long Illness
Funeral Mon. Was Attended by Many Friends and Neighbors
Mary Patricia Cahill died at her home here Friday afternoon following a lingering illness of five years duration. During the past few weeks she had failed rapidly and it was realized by members of her family that she could not last long.
Mary Cahill was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Florence Cahill and was born in this community on February 9, 1907. She graduated from the Janesville High School and attended the Canfield Business School at Owatonna. For two and one-half years, she took the training course for nurses at the State Hospital at St. Peter and wile there contracted the illness that caused her death. Her pleasing personality and kindly disposition won her many friends who join with her family in mourning her passing. Besides her parents, she is survived by the following brothers and sisters: John, Frances and Cecelia Cahill at home; and Leonard Cahill of Loyalton, California.
The funeral services were held Monday morning at 8:30 from the home and at nine o'clock at St. Ann's Catholic church with Father Parkinson in chare of the services. The pallbearers were John McBride, Joseph Foley, Patrick Cahill, Jr., John Jackson, Frank Cunningham and Henry Jewison. Interment took place in St. Ann's cemetery.
