Barbara Burns, 65, of Lubbock went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 6, 2010.

Funeral services for Barbara were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Resthaven's Abbey Chapel.

Barbara was born in Lubbock in 1945 to Henry and Helen (Wells) Caffey. She married Jimmy Burns on Oct. 6, 1967. She and her husband owned Tech Elec Company for over 30 years. They were big Texas Tech football supporters. They were also members of the SEA Business Association. She was a longtime member of the Church of Christ. Barbara loved playing with her grandchildren. She enjoyed her dogs and her garden.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Jimmy; children, Glenn and wife Joey of Plano, Texas, D'Anna and husband David Youngman of Austin, Texas, Terry and wife Julie of Fredricksburg, Texas and Shanda and husband Allen Colvin of Shallowater, Texas. She will also be missed by her eight grandchildren; brothers, Tom Caffey and Richard Caffey of Lubbock; and sister, Fran and husband Sammy Foster of Katy, Texas. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and very close friends.
