BROWN, Nancy Gertrude of Rockdale. Age 82. Died 7/17/1986 (Thursday) at Rockdale Nursing Home after a long illness. Services held (Sat.) in Phillips & Luckey Chapel. Burial in the Hugh Wilson Cemetery in Tanglewood. Revs. O.A. Taylor and Bruce Williams officiated.

She was BORN 7/30/1903 in the Gay Hill Comm. to Nickolas Sanford and Lucy Arelia Eiland Caffey. Married Ernest Howard Brown 11/29/1932 in San Gabriel. She formerly lived in Houston, but resided in Rockdale for the past 19 years. She was a homemaker and a salesman for Foley's Department Store in Houston for 15 years.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Ernest H. Brown of Rockdale; brothers, Garland Caffey and J.D. Caffey, both of Rockdale; sisters, Lois Riley of Joshua, Snowdy Green of Austin and Nubbie Christian of Rockdale.
