Mrs. Mary Green, Native, Dies at Lakeport
Mrs. Mary Dale Green, a native of Healdsburg, died September 18, at a Lakeport hospital. Mrs. Green died after a long illness. She was 87 years of age. Born in Healdsburg, she moved to Lake county with her father, the late John W. Blarnes, prominent rancher, when she was six years old. In 1892 she married the late Arthur Wellington Green, Lake county businessman and owner of the Gessner ranch in Scotts Valley. Mrs. Green was a gradaute from the old Lakeport Academy. She was a 50-year member of the Clearlake Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She lived on her ranch until six years ago when she established her home at North Main street. Lakeport. She is survived by her sons, Bennett Green. Lake county assessor, and Gessner Green, both of Lakeport; by her daughters, Mrs. Inez Anton, Lake county probation officer, Lakeport, Mrs.
Earl Fightmaster of Portola and Mrs. Milton V. Dority of Kelseyvill.e Seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also Survive. Funeral services were held September 21, at Lakeport, for Mrs. Green. Entombment was at Hartley Cemetery, Lakeport.
