Wanda was born Oct. 3, 1932, to Clarence and Phoebe (Weeks) Byrd in Doniphan.
Wanda married Laurence Alfred Bohlmeyer on April 5, 1951, in Shipman, Ill. They moved to Missouri in 1957 and then moved with their children to Centralia in 1964. Wanda and Alfred were married for 57 years before his passing in 2008.
Wanda was a tax preparer for many years as well as an active farm wife. She served as a 4-H leader, was a member of the Centralia Fair Board, a leader at New Hope Baptist Church, and a long-time member of the Worthwhile Extension Club. She was also a member of the Goodwater Club and Centralia First Baptist Church.
In her later years, Wanda enjoyed being a snowbird, traveling to south Texas for the winter. She also enjoyed attending as many of her 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren's activities as she could.
Wanda is survived by her five children: David (Teresa) Bohlmeyer, Becky Bohlmeyer, Gaye (Tim) Salisbury, Daniel (Gayanna) Bohlmeyer, and Dwight Bohlmeyer. Her 13 grandchildren: Jesse (Alllison)Bohlmeyer; Jenne (Jared) Auck, John Bohlmeyer, Jace Bohlmeyer and Joel Bohlmeyer; Taylor Salisbury, Melana Salisbury; Danielle (Gary) Rees, Caleb (Devon) Bohlmeyer, Cullen Bohlmeyer, Travis (Megan) Kinkade, Cody (Melissa) Kinkade, and Breanna (Jud) Auck.
Her parents and her brother, Ronald Byrd, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Fenton Funeral Chapel.
Services will be held Friday, Jan. 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Fenton Funeral Chapel with Rev. Michael Cooper, First Baptist Church, Centralia, officiating.
