Carl Ricky Byrd, 54, of Willow Springs, NC, died Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at Wake Medical Hospital in Raleigh, NC. He was born Feb. 10, 1955 at Raleigh, NC, to Carl Rosewell & Joann Adams Byrd. Survivors include his wife, Donna Hollyfield Byrd of the home; one son & spouse, Chris & Wendy Byrd of Garner, NC; two grandchildren; his mother, Joann Adams Byrd of Garner, NC; maternal grandfather, Theran Ray Adams of Angier, NC. A funeral was held Aug. 21 in Comers Creek Baptist Church in Troutdale with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Andy Blevins officiated.
