Mrs. Anna M. Butz, 88, of 12 Eighth St., died at 6:50 a.m. today at her home.
She was born Dec. 6, 1884, in Germany, a daughter of William and Louise Behnke and came to the United States at the age of 4. She was married to Paul Butz on Oct. 3, 1903, in the Town of Byron.
They farmed in the Town of Byron and moved to Fond du Lac in 1942. Mrs. Butz was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
Surviving are four children, Miss Alma Butz, Edwin Butz and Mrs. Minnie Krecklow, all of Fond du Lac; and Arnie Butz of the Town of Fond du Lac; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Pau Behnke Sr. of Rolling Meadows.
Mrs. Butz was preceded in death by her husband in 1956 and by three brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church with Pastor Karl A. Gurgel officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in the Town of Byron.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Candlish Chapel and at the church from 10:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services.
