The family of Mr. Butterfield was one of the first eight families to pass a winter in town. He md. in Dunstable, Nov. 12, 1761, Hannah Chandler, sister of Col. Moses Chandler, q. v. She was b. in Westford, Mass., Aug. 27, 1742 and d. April 14, 1814.
Ten children --
1. Hannah, b. in Dunstable, Mass., Dec. 23, 1762; md., March 16, 1786, Solomon Adams, q. v.; d. March 20, 1856.
