Mrs. Alza Mae Bingham, 85, died at 11 p.m. Thursday at the Bloomfield Nursing Center. Mrs. Bingham was born March 2, 1892 in Greene County the daughter of David Buskirk and Clarinda Vandeventer. She had lived most of her life in Switz City and was a member of the Switz City Christian Church. Survivors include the husband Otis W. Bingham, Switz City; a son Valis D. Bingham, Lyons; two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Beatrix) Payne, Indianapolis and Mrs. Walt (Mary Lea) Randalls, Crawfordville; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Harry Buskirk, and a sister, Alta Walls, both of Martinsville. A son, Milford O. Bingham, was killed in World War II in 1943, and two brothers and three sisters also preceeded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. Sunday at the Christian Church at Switz City and burial will be in the Switz City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Welch and Cornett Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Saturday and at the church after noon Sunday.
Correction: Alza was preceeded in death by one brother, one step brother, 5 sisters, and one step sister. Also survived by one brother, James Buskirk of Toledo, OH.
