Deborah L. Buskey, 51, of Jewell, New York, formally Athens, Texas, passed into enternal rest on September 1st, 2007.

Born Deborah Lynn Conroy on July 14,1956, to Elaine (Stonecipher) and Thomas Conroy in Hileah, Florida. Lovingly nicknamed Debbie by family and friends, Debbie was raised in Marcellus, New York, where she attended Marcellus High.

Debbie always wanted to have a career helping and caring for people, resulting in her graduating from Centeral Tech. of Nursing with a degree of nursing. She was a nurse for the remainder of her life, working in hospitals and nursing homes such as: St. Joseph's Hospital (Syracuse, NY); Interim Health Care (Syracuse, NY); South Place Nursing Home (Athens, TX); and Green Oaks (Athens, TX).

During her career has a nurse, she gained respect from doctors, co-workers, and most of all from her patients for her compassion and dedication.

Debbie married Leonard R. Buskey in 1984. The relationship and marriage produced three children: Victoria Lynn (born 1975), Lenny (born in 1988), and Kerry Lynn (born in 1996). The marriage ended in 1998. After the marriage, Debbie moved, along with her children, to Athens, Texas, where she lived for the next nine years until returning to New York in July 2007.

Debbie entered into rest on September 1, 2007, after a two year long battle against Lung Cancer, with her loved ones by her side. Her funeral was held on September 5, 2007, at Carter Funeral Home in Syracuse, New York, with her son,, delevering the eulogy.

In her death, she left behind her three children; her mother, the former Elaine Stonecipher; a brother, Brian Conroy; her maternal grandparents, Ruth Mary & Carter Stonecipher; three grandchildren, Scott, Marcus, Mya Lynn. She was predeceased by her great-grandmother, Ruth Duke; her step-father, whom she considered her own father, Malcolm Peymen; her cousin, Jacob T. Brown; and her granddaughter, Imari Lynn Irons.
