Arvid E. Bushor, 45, Stambaugh, MI, died Wednesday March 23, 1994 in Crystal Falls, MI as a result of a logging accident.
Arvid was born on August 2, 1948 in Tomahawk to George and Alta Bushor.
Arvid grew up and attended school in Tomahawk and returned to the Tomahawk area after a brief stint with the U.S. Army in Vietnam as a medic. He also lived in Indiana and Wyoming where he was employed as a logger and truck driver prior to moving to the Stambaugh area nine years ago. Arvid worked as a logging truck driver for Bruce Brzoznowski Logging at the time of his death. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Iron River, MI.
He is survived by his mother Alta Bushor of Tomahawk; three sons Greg Bushor of Madison, Arvid Bushor serving in the United States Marine Corps in California; Dalton Bushor of Iron River; five brothers Darwyn (Barbara) Bushor of Gleason, Roderick (Carol) Bushor of Merrill, Wayne (Sallie) Bushor of Tomahawk; Marvin Bushor of Chadron, NE; Roger (Donna) Bushor of Iron River; along with six sisters Ramona Bushor, Ardis (Frannie) Teal, Juanita (Ron) Evans, and Teresa (Bill) Mortenson all of Tomahawk and Donna (Val) Thilman of Rhinelander, and Alita (Barry) Evans of Iron River. He is further survived by his former wives Anne of Rhinelander and Mary of Iron River along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father George, a brother Roland and a nephew Kenneth Bushor.
Funeral services were held Monday morning March 28, 1994 at the Krueger and Son Funeral Home in Tomahawk. The Rev. Tim Gebhardt, pastor of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Iron River, MI officiated and burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Tomahawk. The Krueger and Son Funeral Home and the Langenberg Funeral Home in Iron River, MI handled the arrangements.
