Viola Mary (Bushey) Ambrose was born March 23, 1909 in Ferrisburg, the daughter of Andrew and Minerva "Minnie" (Busier/Boucher) Bushey. She died at the age of 69 on Friday, March 31,1978 in Vergennes due to an automobile/pedestrian accident. She had lived in Vergennes for 15 years before her death. Prior, she had lived in Monkton. Mrs. Viola Ambrose was survived by a son, Raymond Ambrose of Manchester, New Hampshire; two daughters, Mrs. Millie Giddings of California and Mrs. Marie Goulet of Burlington; four grandchildren; a brother, Arthur Bushey of Ferrisburg; five sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Hazel) Danyow and Mrs. Rachel Monroe, both of Vergennes, Mrs. Geraldine Barton of Sebring, Florida, Mrs. Helen Nash of Daytona Beach, Florida, and Mrs. Isabelle Cornell of Burlington; her [step]mother, Mrs. Zilda Berry of Burlington; several neices and nephews.
