The following obituary appeared in the Hutchinson Newspaper on 6-Jan-2008. Note that names of living relatives have been removed:

ALEXANDER - Thelma "Granny" Bushell, 83, died Friday Jan. 4, 2008, at her home.


She was born Aug. 14, 1924, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Charles and Alice Wompler Cornwell. She graduated from Hutchinson High School. A resident of Alexander, moving from Great Bend, she co-owned and operated Granny's Junktiques, Alexander.

Survivors include: her husband; three sons; three daughters; three siblings; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jesse Wayne Ferguson, and four siblings, Dorothy, Ethel, Della and Charles.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse.

Memorials may be sent to the Salvation Army, in care of the funeral home.
