BILLY W.BUSBY, 74, of Bartlett, TN, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Methodist North Hospital from complications after lung surgery. He was born in 1933 in Hickman, KY and was retired from the U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers after 39 years of service. He was a loving husband and father. Mr. Busby is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ruby Busby; two daughters, Cindy Godfrey and her husband Tom of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Karen Thompson and her husband Jeff of Memphis. He is also survived by one grandson, Zachary Thompson and two step-grandsons, Dane and Wesley Godfrey. "Buzz" also leaves nieces and nephews and many, many friends whom he cherished. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m., Sunday, October 7 at Forest Hill Funeral Home East. Services will be at 2 p.m., Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow in Forest Hill Cemetery East.
