Mary Leatrice Allred of 7314 Benning Ave., Dallas, Texas, passed away at 10:20 a.m. Thursday, March 30, 1989, at Brentwood Place Nursing Home in Dallas.
Graveside services and burial were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 31st, at Dodd City Cemetery, Dodd City, under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home of Honey Grove. Rev. John Hicks officiated.
Pallbearers were J. D. Nichols, Carthel Hewitt, Kenneth Oliver, Leon Bowman, Choice Moore and Johnny Avery.
Mrs. Allred was born in Indian Territory, Oklahoma, March 29, 1898, the daughter of Robert A. Burton and Frances Herriage Burton.
She was married in Fannin County October 24, 1914, to James Bryan Allred.
She was a member of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by her husband of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Leeman and Rose Allred of Rosenbeige, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Omega Allred of Dallas; five grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
One son, Burton Allred preceded her in death in 1986.
