MARY ELLEN ADKINS, age 67, of Fredericktown passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus with her family by her side.

She was born on September 15, 1947 in Mount Vernon, Ohio to the late Florin and Virginia Mae (Goss) Burson Jr. Mary was employed at Hi-Stat in Lexington from which she retired with nearly twenty years of service. She was a former member of the Perry Church of Christ. Mary enjoyed traveling, especially near the ocean. She also enjoyed reading. But most of all, she loved the time she spent with her family.

She is survived by her husband Frank Adkins; her son Timothy (Rebecca) Adkins; her daughter Tabitha (Keith) Evans; three grandchildren, Christopher Evans, Hope Adkins, Tyler Adkins; and her brother Dennis (Vickie) Burson.

Friends may call on Monday, April 6, 2015 at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. A service will be held on Tuesday, at the funeral home, beginning at 11 a.m. with Rev. Leroy Bumpus officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
