Dolores L. Burroughs of Perryville died Sunday October 24, 2004, at Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville. She was 68. She was born August 30, 1936, in Altenburg the daughter of the late Leslie Oscar and Paula Lena (Holt) Burroughs. Survivors include uncles, aunts, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Llyod Burroughs. Ms. Burroughs was the deputy for the Perry County Clerk from January 1957 to December 1974 and was the Perry County Clerk from January 1975 to December 1986. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, LWMI, an altar guild and a former member of the Perry County Historical Society and Chamber of Commerce, all of Perryville. Memorials are preferred to KFUO. The funeral service was held Wednesday October 27 at 10 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville with the Rev. Matthew Marks officiating. Burial was in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery in Frohna. Young & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. in Perryville provided the arrangements.
