Alice Musser, age 89, died February 22, 1996 at the Lone Tree Health Care following a short illness.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the United Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ann Rouse officiating. Burial was in the Lone Tree Cemetery. A Memorial Fund has been established. Sorden’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Alice was born December 30, 1906 in Lincoln Township in Johnson County to parents John and Anna (Stock) Burr. She married Willis Musser September 2, 1931 in Lone Tree. She was a 1929 graduate of the State University of Iowa. She was a housewife and a music teacher. She held membership in the Phi Mu Sorority of the University of Iowa, United Presbyterian Church, Search Light of Lone Tree, Lincoln Rural Women’s Club and the United Presbyterian Women.

She is survived by her husband, Willis, one son, Jerry and his wife Judy of Iowa City; and one daughter Connie Edmonds and her husband Terry of Solon, and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Pallbearers were Lloyd Burr Jr., John Glass, Eldon Kile, John Burr, Terry Edmonds and Steve Bothell.
