Janie "Ms. Mollie" McKissick Burns passed away at Claiborne & Hughes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Franklin, Tennessee at the age of 100. She was born in Williamson County, Tennessee to the parents of Gilbert McKissick and Maggie Burns.

Mrs. Burns leaves to cherish her memories her devoted daughter, Janie Sydnor; sons, Leroy (Rose) Nevils and Marvin Burns; grandsons , Andre' McLemore, Seonta (JaNet) Burns, Frederick (NaBila) Nevils, Christian Nevils and Orlando (Sonia) Pillow; granddaughters, Melissa (James) McLin, Tameka Burns, Kanitha Nevils and LaTarah Locke; devoted granddaughter, Tammy Burns, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, special friends, Mother Jessie Buford, Mother Nora Jane Hodge, Mother Minnie Johnson and Ann Poynter.

Mrs. Burns will lie in state on Friday, December29, 2023 from 12 until 5 at the funeral home.

Graveside Service Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 12 Noon at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, 2391 Nashville Hwy, Columbia Ave. 38401. Elder Maurice Johnson, officiating.

Interment Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Columbia, Tennessee.
