Marilyn K. Burns, 69, of Lower Macungie Township, died on Monday, December 10, 2007, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. She was the wife of Thomas K. Burns for the past 47 years. Born in Hazelton she was the daughter of the late Daniel R. and Mary Olive (Carsgo) Matthews. Prior to her marriage, she was employed at the former General Acceptance Corporation of Allentown. She provided volunteer services for St. Thomas More Catholic Church and for the Lehigh Valley Center for Independent Living. Survivors: Sons, John Burns of Phillipsburg, N.J. and Michael Burns of Lower Macungie Township; daughters, Elizabeth wife of Fredrick Pane of Ocean View, N.J, Rochelle wife of Dean Bachman of Shimerville; brother, Richard Matthews of Lancaster; eight grandchildren. Services: 1:30 p.m. Friday, Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 17th & Hamilton Sts., Allentown, with the Rev. Jonathan Bausman officiating. Call 1-1:30 p.m. Friday, in the funeral home.
