She was the daughter of Lee and Aura (Streeter) Potter.
For over 31 years she was the cafeteria cook at St. Lawrence Central School. She served on the board of elections for the Town of Brasher.
She was survived by her children, Francis and wife Margaret of Helena; John L. and wife Denise of Helena; Jane Lantry of Helena, Katherine and husband John LaForce of Chase Mills; brothers, Leslie Potter of Florida, and Harold Potter of Massena; sisters, Mary Burnett of Massena, and Grace Slate of Potsdam; a brother-in-law, Bernard and Eileen Burns of Malone and a sister-in-law, Katherine Foley of Massena.
She was predeceased by a brother, Richard; and a son-in-law, Robert Lantry.
