Mrs. Willis Blue, Sr.
---Mrs. Ella (Burland) Blue, age 80, wife of Willis Blue, Sr., of Clarendon, passed away at her home Monday morning at 7:00 o'clock following an illness of a few days. She was born in Marshall, December 9, 1863, the daughter of William and Olive Burland. On April 18, 1883, she was united in marriage to Willis Blue at the home of her parents just east of the Lyon Lake church. For many years Mr. and Mrs. Blue made their home on the farm which they own at the edge of Clarendon Village. Besides her husband, she is survived by one grandson, Willis Blue, Jr., of Clarendon, two granddaughters, Mrs. Lewis Williamson, Jr., and Miss Beryl Blue of Marshall; two great grandsons, Stanley Blue of Clarendon and Lewis Jeffrey Williamson of Marshall; one brother, Phil Burland of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews. A son, Gilbert W., and a daughter, Olive, passed away several years ago.
---Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p. m. from Westbrook chapel in Homer, Rev. Allen Bradley officiating with burial in West Clarendon cemetery.

Funeral Service
---Funeral services for Mrs. Willis Blue, Sr., who passed away at her home in Clarendon Monday morning following a short illness, were held from the Westbrook Chapel in Homer, Wednesday afternoon, at 2:00 o'clock, Rev. Allen Bradley officiating with burial in West Clarendon cemetery. Casket bearers were Milford Moor, Leslie Dibble, James Patton, Clarence McCone, Arthur Dolph and Lloyd Smith. A large and beautiful floral offering expressed the love and sympathy of her many friends.
---Among the out-of-town people attending the funeral were Mrs. Florence Blue Bissonette, William Blue and Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Stough, all of Detroit, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Burland, Jr., of Battle Creek; Mr. and Mrs. Phil Burland, Sr., Mrs. Charles Hillabrant, Willis Hillabrant, Pvt. and Mrs. Lewis Williamson, Miss Beryl Blue, Miss Mabel Jacobs, Mrs. Florence Sweet and Mrs. R. W. Goodrow, all of Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Howes of Augusta, Mrs. Robert Thompson and Mrs. Myra Smith of Albion.
