EARHART, ROSA BURKS, Age 92, of Sulphur Springs, Texas passed away December 30, 2006 at her home. She was born May 5, 1914, in Red Sulphur Springs, Tennessee to Edgar S. and Nettie Burks. On December 24, 1936 she married Charles E. Earhart in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Mrs. Earhart was a recipient of the Volunteer of the Year Award in Plano and sponsored many foreign exchange students in her home through the Plano Texas Lions Club Student Exchange Program. She is survived by her son, Robert Earhart of Monrovia, California; daughter, Betsy Berg of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Frances Reeder and husband, Steve of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Retired Charles E. Earhart, Sr. in 1995; son, Charles Earhart, Jr.; brothers, Pete, Barney, Jack and sisters, Ruby, Nettie and Faye. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 5, 2007 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park.
