Jewel L. Burks Durley 76 died Wednesday Febaryru 22, 2012.

Services will be Saturday March 3, 2012 at 11 AM at Mount Zion Baptist Church with Reverend James L. Collins pastor & eulogist officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.

Mrs. Jewel L. Burks Durley was born on May 31, 1935 in Clarksville, Texas to Margie and Mal Burks. The family moved to Amarillo, Texas where she attended Carver School and later became a hairdresser.

Mrs. Durley affectionately known as "Big Sister" to all those who loved her Jewel gave of herself unselfishly and lived a full and blessed life as a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Survivors include four daughters: Delois Adediran and husband Mossadiq of Denton, Texas, Ollie Durley, Sherry Durley Jones and Lenora Moore and husband Gary all of Amarillo, Texas; seven sons: David Durley Jr; Floyd Durley and Cheryl; Lawrence Durley and wife Billie; Jan Durley and wife Tammy; Richard Durley; Erral Durley and Terry Durley all of Amarillo, Texas; 60 grandchildren; 125 great-grandchildren; four nieces and 10 nephews.
