ALBANY — Daisy Burkhart, 82, died Monday.
She was born near Halsey and moved to the Albany area in the 1930s. She retired as bookkeeper from Albany Typewriter Ex-change after 32 years. She made basket arrangements in the fall and at Christmas for nursing homes and hospitals. She was a member of the Albany Elkettes, and enjoyed bowling and golf.
Survivors include her son, Dennis of Albany; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
At her request, no services will be held. Entombment will be at Willamette Memorial Mausoleum. Contributions: Albany General Hospital Foundation, care of Fisher Funeral Home.

Her two older sisters were Pauline, b.1914, and Ada, b.1916. Daisy was born on Apr 28, 1917 and passed from this earth on Mar 27, 2000. She is interred next to her husband, Delivan Lillard Burkhart, who had died May 15th, 1998. Dennis Duane Burkhart, b.1947 is the couple's only child, much loved.
