Mrs. Mattie Bagley, 81 years of age, of Christian Care Nursing Center in Mesquite, passed away Friday, November 30, 1989, at Charter Suburban Hospital, Mesquite.
Graveside service and burial were at Oakwood Cemetery in Honey Grove, at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 2nd, under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home of Honey Grove. Dr. Bobby Holt, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Honey Grove, officiated.
Mrs. Bagley was born at Avery, Texas, November 6, 1908, to Jim Burkham and Kate Woodard Burkham.
She was married to Cecil Oma Bagley on October 8, 1927, at Clarksville. He preceded her in death March 18, 1976.
She was a homemaker, a Past Matron of Honey Grove Chapter No. 901 Order of Eastern Star, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Honey Grove.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Quida Howard and Mrs. Leeman (Betty) Vessels of Dallas; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
