ANN V. BURKE A longtime resident of Eden West Convalescent Hospital, passed away quietly on Sunday, October 2, 2005 at the age of 91 years. Beloved mother of Shirley Young and Edmund Burke she is also survived by grandchildren Debbie Pimer, William Young, Kelly Klapmeyer, Edmund E. Burke, and great-grandchildren Patricia, Jaime, and Matt Pimer; Becky, Alex, and Gray Young; and Elizabeth and Justin Klapmeyer; and also by several nieces and nephews. Ann was born in Hawaii and was the eldest of four siblings, James, Walter, and Mary, and was the last to pass away. She had a brief stint as a beauty queen (Miss Porto Santo) and had a passion for sewing, baking and dancing. The family wishes to thank Eden West for their care of Ann.
