Robert Harry Burgin, age 77, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, longtime Architect and owner of Robert H. Burgin and Associates, passed away Thursday January 12, 2012.

He was born in Avoca, Iowa, on March 22, 1934, to the late Harry and Lilly Burgin. Bob received his Bachelor of Science and Architecture from Washington University. Bob was united in marriage to Nancy Oberdorfer on June 8, 1957.

Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his sister.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy; sons, Owen and wife, Kelley, of Council Bluffs, Chris, of South Lebanon, Ohio; daughter, Ailene "Beanie" Nielsen and husband, David, of Council Bluffs; 8 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.

Christian Wake service Sunday, 7 p.m., followed by visitation until 9 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, 10 a.m., St. Patrick's Church, Council Bluffs. Interment Cedar Lawn Cemetery followed by a luncheon at St. Patrick's. Memorials to St. Albert Schools or St. Patrick's Church, preferred.
