Sarah Katherine Mayhugh, age 87, died Dec. 27, 2005, at Prince William Hospital, Manassas. She was born on July 5, 1918, in Warrenton, to the late Edwin and Katie (nee Wine) Burgess. Mrs. Mayhugh was the youngest of 10 children. She was a homemaker and an elder in the Greenwich Presbyterian Church in Nokesville. She was a longtime resident of Marywood Manor in Manassas. She is predeceased by her husband William Joseph Mayhugh. She is survived by three children, William Joseph Mayhugh Jr. of Gainesville, Mary Elizabeth Fairfax of Manassas, and Phyllis Leigh Robbins of Winchester. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Michael Mayhugh, Sheryl Douglas, Dawn Herring, Karen Beth Boyle, Lisa Diane Walsh, Kevin Robbins and Katie Robbins and seven great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 29, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Price Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas. Funeral service will be held at Greenwich Presbyterian Church, 15305 Vint Hill Road, Nokesville, on Friday, Dec. 30, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Don Meeks officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwich Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Nokesville.
