Ramona Jean Burgess, age 83, of Mojave, California, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at home. She was born on April 19, 1929 in Shady Point, Oklahoma to her parent, Raymond Cobble and Anna Southern.
Jean was an only child. She married the love of her life, Robert C. Burgess in Riverbank, California on September 5, 1957. They had four children. She was a current resident of Mojave, California for 51 Years. She enjoyed her lotto tickets and bingo.
Jean will be remembered by her loving husband Robert and their children: Phyllis Crowell (DeeRoy), Melody Samarin (Bob), Joandra Carreño (Gus) and Robert M. Burgess. She is also survived by Grandchildren: Kristina Hughey (Mike), Todd Crowell, Jason Samarin (Melissa), Stephanie Samarin, Tara Flores (Armando), Gus Carreño IV (Leah), Joshua, Anthony and LeeEllen Burgess and 9 Great Grandchildren: Stevie, Alex, Garrett, Tre, Dayton, Angelease, Andrea, Gus V. and Ethan. Predeceased in death by her parents and Grandaughter Nicole Carreño.
Services were held for Jean at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, 01/09/2013 at Stickel Mortuary, 2201 Inyo Street, Mojave, CA 93501. Services were Officiated by Rev. Gustavo Carreño.
