Mrs. Ella B. Nye, 84, widow of Clyde E. Nye, died at 1:30 a.m. today at hte Mary J. Drexel Home, 238 Belmont Avenue, Bala Cynwyd.

She was born at Quincy, daughter of Gideon and Lavina E. (Manges) Burger. Her early life was lived at Quincy and she attended Irving College and later took training as a deaconess in the Lutheran Church. She was a Lutheran deaconess in New York City until her marriage in 1920.

After her marriage, Mrs. Nye had resided in Waynesboro and Wayne Heights.

Following the death of her husband in February 1937, she was employed at the Mary J. Drexel Home as a nurse until her retirement in 1954. Since then she had been a guest at the home. She had been failing health for the last two years and critically ill for the last two weeks.

Mrs. Nye was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Laura Funk, Baltimore, and a brother, Rev. S. C. Burger, Washington, D. C.
