ALBERT L. "TRAPPER AL" BURDGE, of FARMINGDALE, died at home. He was a mechanical assembler and a group leader for Frequency Engineering, Farmingdale, for 18 years, retiring in 1985. From 1937 to 1950, he had owned and operated Burdge Ice and Wood Company, Farmingdale. He had also been a flagger for the Pennsylvania Railroad. He was a former member of the Farmingdale Fire Department. He was also an avid hunter and trapper. He was a member of the United Kennel Club and raised hound and hunting dogs. Born in Bradley Beach, he was a lifelong resident of Farmingdale. He was predeceased by a sister, Sylvia Reed, and three brothers, Wilbur, Harry and George Burdge. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Knox Burdge; two daughters, Linda E. and Sarah Jean; a son, Ronald L.; two brothers, Walter Burdge and Gilbert; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
