Jim Burdett

EVANSTON, Wyo.-Jim Burdett, 78, Earle Hotel, Ogden, died on Saturday night, July 30, in an Evanston hospital.
He was born on May 31, 1882, in Evanston, a son of James and Sarah Lethbridge Burdett. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad Company as a machinist, retiring in 1953. He married Margaret Bower on March 9, 1903 in Evanston. She died in 1953. They lived in Evanston until 1927 when they moved to Ogden.
Surviving are one son and three daughters, Lawrence J. Burdett, Mrs. Edna Young and Mrs. Lucille Andrews, Hamilton, Mont.; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; four brothers and one sister, Ernest G. Burdett and Miss Laurina Burdett of Salt Lake City; William Burdett, Midvale, Utah; Frank Burdett, Shoshone, Idaho; Lorenzo Burdett, Evanston.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, Aug. 3, at 11 a.m. at the Bills Funeral Home chapel, 800 Uinta St., Evanston.
Burial will be in the Aultorest Cemetery in Ogden.
Friends may call at the Bills Funeral Home on Tuesday and Wednesday prior to the services.
