Grace (Glen) Burdette, only daughter of William and Mary Ann Chapman, was born in Plymouth, Ill., on August 18, 1882. She passed away on March 21, 1924, at age 41 years, 7 months, and 3 days. She lived nearly all of her life in Plymouth.

She was united in married to Roscoe C. Burdette on December 16, 1903. They had one son, William D. "Small" Burdette.

She was a member of the Women of Mooseheart Legion and had the honor of being a Past Regent in that order.

Her illness had been of long duration, but she was helped by her family, friends, and her faith.

Surviving were her husband and son, six brothers, Charles A., of Oskaloosa, Kan; Jacob W., of Ellisville, Ill; John Henry of Plymouth; Claude W., of Wichita, Kan; Mark S., of Galesburg and Walter O., of Chicago; all of whom attended her funeral, except for Charles who was not able to attend due to poor health.

The funeral was held at the Nichols' Funeral Home, with Rev. John DeWitt Leek, pastor of the Plymouth Congregational Church officiating.

The pall bearers were: Ed DeWitt, Homer Sapp, Homer Blodgett, Glen Standard, Lew Phelps and R.L. Cloud. Interment was in Rosemont Cemetery.

Those attending from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. M.S. Chapman, of Galesburg; Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Chapman of Ellisville, C.N. Chapman, of Wichita, Kansas, Walter O. Chapman of Chicago; William and Tom Sullivan, Industry; Ed Pittenger, of Tennessee; Roy ----, of Ellisville; Frank Hocker, of Colchester, and Miss Mattie Metzger, of Quincy. C.O. Burdette, of Cotter, Arkansas, arrived here Sunday evening, too late to attend the funeral.
