Antonio R. "Tony" Burciaga of Modesto died at his home.
Mr. Burciaga was a native of Pleasanton, Texas. He lived in Modesto four years and previously lived in the San Jose, Hayward and Madera areas.
He was a machine operator for Sealed Air Corporation in Hayward for 20 years.
He enjoyed yard work, and watching sports and boxing.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Rodriguez Burciaga of Modesto; children, Tony "JR" Burciaga of Hayward, Abraham Burciaga of Modesto, Frances Smith of Manteca and Sgt. Natalie Ana Burciaga, serving in Iraq; brothers, Raymond Burciaga of San Jose, Pete Burciaga of Madera, Joe Burciaga of Fresno and Santiago "Jimmy" Burciaga of Hayward; sisters, Eva Sotelo and Mari Arredondo, both of Madera, and Rosa Lopez of Union City; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio Sr. and Frances Burciaga; one brother; and one sister.
A celebration of life will be 6 p.m. Friday at Jay Chapel, Madera.
A second celebration of life will be 9 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with interment to follow at Arbor Vitae Cemetery, Madera.
