PITTSTON, Maine -- Arlene E. (Kelley) Buker, 85, of North Whitefield Road, died Friday, June 1, in Maine General Rehabilitation and Nursing Care at Gray Birch Drive, Augusta.
Her husband, Wayne Buker, died in 1986. She leaves a brother, G. Norman Kelley of Pittston; and several nieces and nephews. Three brothers, Fred, Eugene and Owen Kelley predeceased her. Born in Gardiner, daughter of Roy E. and Eva M. (Larrabee) Kelley, she graduated from Gardiner High School in 1932. She attended Clark University in Worcester, Mass.
Mrs. Buker taught piano more than 25 years in Linwood, Mass. After her husband's death, she returned to Maine, where she taught music in Pittston and was organist at the Gardiner Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, Pittston Grange 214, and Marion Chapter 63 Order of Eastern Star.
The funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 5, in Gardiner Congregational Church, U.C.C. Burial followed in Litchfield Plains Cemetery, Litchfield. Amesbury-White Funeral Home, 39 Washington Ave., Gardiner. Memorial donations may be made to Gardiner Congregational Church, U.C.C., 46 Church St., Gardiner, ME 04345.
