Charles O. Buffington
CANTON - Charles Otho Buffington, 67, died Saturday at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital. Services were 2 p.m. Sunday at Breeland Funeral Home chapel with burial in Canton Cemetery.
A native of Simpson County, he was a retired staff manager for Life Insurance Co. of Georgia. He was a Mason, a Shriner, a member of the Canton Elks Club and a member of the First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ida Mary Buffington; sons, Phillip Buffington of Canton and Larry Klass of Tucson, Ariz.; daughters, Sonia Foster of Monticello and Joyce Street of Canton; brothers, Bobby Buffington and Scott Buffington, both of Collins, and Carey Buffington of Tuscumbia, Ala.; sisters, Mary Runnels of Canton and Mildred Brown of Crystal Springs; and eight grandchildren.
