BROWN--At her home in Longmont, Tuesday, October 18, 1910, of acute indigestion, Clara E. Brown, wife of Capt.G. W. Brown, aged 70 years, 6 months and 27 days.
Mrs. Brown's call came very suddenly and with little or no pain. She was up and around attending to her plants at 4 o'clock in the afternoon and at 7 o'clock she was gone. A very positive reminder of the uncertainty of human life. Mrs. Brown was of very pleasant disposition and made many warm friends, though she has not been strong enough the past two years to take active part in social life.
Mrs. Brown was a charter member of the McPherson Relief Corps and its first president. She had been a member of the Corps at her old home before coming to Colorado. She was also a charter member of the Order of Eastern Star, and for many years a member of the Unitarian Church.
Clara E. Buff was born in Leominster, Mass., March 21, 1840, where she lived till 1881 when she married Capt.G.W. Brown of Longmont and came to this city to make their home, where they have since resided.
Funeral services will be held at the residence at 239 Pratt Street. Friday afternoon at 2:30.
