Oliver M. BUCKNER, lifelong resident of Richland Township and former township schoolteacher for 45 years, died at his home Friday evening following an illness of several weeks. Mr. BUCKNER was born in Richland Township, the son of Jonathan and Jane (LESTER) BUCKNER, on September 11, 1864, and was 81 years of age at the time of his death. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. from the Jenkins & sons chapel, with Rev. Joe WALLS officiating. Burial was in Grandview Cemetery. Survivors were one daughter, Tula, at home, and four sons, Guy, of Bloomington; Rex, of Indianapolis; Ben, of Marion, and Ott, of Brazil.
