The family settled in Friberg and there he grew to manhood and continued to live until a year ago when he moved to this city to reside at 208 North Whitford Street.
He was baptized Oct. 4, 1883 and was confirmed on April 15, 1897 at the Immanuel Lutheran church by Rev. Matzet. He was ever a faithful member of the church.

He was a carpenter of note, having built all the buildings on his own farm. He also owned and operated his own threshing rig for many years, and threshed with it this fall. In his passing the com-munity loses a good citizen and many friends will join with the family in mourning his departure.

Funeral arrangements await word from his children.
